School Rules

General Rules

1. Students who are Singapore Citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the pledge. Students will take the Pledge with the right fist over the heart.
2. Students are to wear the prescribed school uniform and modification to the uniform is not allowed.
3. Students must respect property belonging to the school and others.
4. Students must be punctual for school and all school activities.
5. Daily attendance is compulsory. Disciplinary action will be taken against cases of truancy.
6. Absenteeism must be covered by either a medical certificate from a doctor or a letter from parents.
7. Students must have a permission pass to leave the classroom.
8. Students are to keep the school compound clean.
9. Students must display integrity and honesty during examinations.
10. Being clean shaven e.g. All male students must be clean-shaven at all times. Moustache and beards are not allowed.
11. Students are not allowed to have in their possession any weapon. They are also not allowed to bring any weapon-like item which is intended to be used to cause harm to others.

Uniforms

Students must wear the prescribed school uniform. Modification to the school uniform is not allowed.
Students should be properly and neatly attired at all times.
The name tag should be attached on the right side of the uniform and aligned with the school logo.
Students must put on white socks and black shoes. High cut shoes are not allowed. Socks should be clearly visible above the top-line of the shoes.
On days where there are PE lessons, students are allowed to wear their PE attire to school. The name tag must be attached to the PE T-shirt.
For safety reasons, any form of jewellery is not allowed except for simple ear studs for girls. Identical pair of small ear studs with simple geometric designs is allowed, one on each ear lobe. Multiple ear studs and earrings are not allowed.
Students’ nails must be kept short and clean at all times.

Hairstyles - Boys

Hair must be kept short and neat.
No dyed or highlighted hair allowed.
No styling of hair. Use of hair gel is not allowed.
Hair must not touch the ears, the eyebrows or the collar of the shirt.
Side-burns must be very short and not beyond the orifice / top of the ear.
Boys are not allowed to spot moustache and must be clean shaven.

Hairstyles - Girls

Hair must be kept neat and tidy.
Fringes must be kept at least 1cm above the eyebrows.
Long fringes must be pinned up neatly.

Long hair must be plaited or tied.
Only black ribbons, clips or hair bands are to be used.
