The Inspiring Teacher of English Award 2023

Know of an English teacher in Horizon who has inspired your child and ignited your child’s love for English? Or perhaps a teacher who is passionate about making English lessons interesting and is innovative in engaging your child in learning English? Here is your chance to show your appreciation to these dedicated teachers by nominating them for the Inspiring Teacher of English Award!

The Inspiring Teacher of English Award is a national award for English teachers in Singapore schools that acknowledges teachers who ignite a love for the English language and are effective in helping their students to communicate better. This award is jointly presented by The Straits Times and the Speak Good English Movement, with support from the Ministry of Education, Singapore.

If you know of an English teacher who:

• exemplifies the use of good spoken and written English;
• promotes learning-focused interaction during English lessons; and
• choose pedagogies appropriate to learners’ readiness, interests and learning profiles.

Nominate them by completing the nomination form and email it to us at horizon_ps@moe.edu.sg by 27 March 2023 to support your child’s English Teacher for this honour!
